Guest of Honour at UCS (University Campus Suffolk) 2008 Degree & Awards Ceremony
On Saturday, I was delighted to be the Guest of Honour (!) at the UCS 2008 Degree Awards ceremony, held at St. Margarets Church, Lowestoft.
As well as the graduating students and their families, the mayors of Lowestoft, Beccles and Bungay were also in the audience, along with Waveney MP, Bob Blizzard. i was also delighted my parents could attend.
I gave a 20 minute talk about the importance of Education in the context of my S.P.A.C.E. strategy for business success, and was delighted that many people in the audience felt the speech to be motivational and inspirational in these times of economic uncertainty. Education, coupled with Confidence and Commonsense was the order of the day, my thanks to the Governors of UCS for their kind invitation, along with my Mum and Dad, it was a pleasure for a 'Lowestoft Lad' to see so many future success stories!
PS - well done to Karla and her mum, who made contact with me during the post awards buffet, I hope something comes of my introduction to Ted Baker (no ordinary designer label) for you Karla.
