A Cartridge's Favourite Handle? The King of Shaves Azor!
Now we're over 5 months into our Azor launch, we can pull some pretty interesting data about our performance against 'Wilkinette' and how a key ratio - the number of cartridges purchased weekly divided by the number of handles sold in the market place - is looking.
The Azor is a system razor, which normally means the handle is sold or given away (we sell ours at a very reasonable £4.99 including 3 cartridges, Gillette sell their Fusion Power at £9.99 with just one cartridge) and replacement blades are bought. It's the famous 'razor & blade replenishment business model'. Apart from replinishing our Azor costs less, without any compromise on quality!
I was intrigued to see that our key ratio this week actually beat Gillette's Fusion Manual.
Now, this doesn't mean we're instantly bigger than Gillette - we're not - they've got around 3m handles out there (somewhere) whilst we have just 175,000.
But what it does mean that more people are buying cartridges to replenish our razor with, than Gillette's. Join us. We are King of Shaves - and we promise you a closer shave, with cartridges (and handles) that last longer, and cost less.
Maybe that's why we were voted 'Best Company' in the CBI/Real Business 'Growing Business' awards last week!
